Gangadhar Rao gives Moropant a ministers post in his court. Sakhubai tells Jankibai that they should be wary of Laxmibai as she is not an ordinary girl. Aaishri is very upset with Gangadhars verdict. Jankibai taunts Aaishri. Aaishri in turns taunts Moropant. Laxmibai overhears Aaishri taunting Moropant. Moropant begs Gangadhar to reconsider his verdict. Gangadhar explains to Moropant that whatever is happening is destiny. Laxmibai overhears their conversation and is very pleased. Aaishri tries to taunt Laxmibai but Laxmibai retorts, and Aaishri is stunned.
