Season 22

Thalia is faced with a new challenge at work, Katryn finds evidence of Ella’s infidelity, and Tracy and Tertius clash over Leah. Binneland’s shareholders make a decision about the co-head position at Ongevalle.

Dewald refuses to give up, Uys notices something that doesn’t sit right with him, and Joe is thrown in at the deep end.

Thalia tries to hide the fact that Binneland’s new doctor fascinates her, Tracy finally puts her foot down regarding her and Leah, and Hannah expects something from Nicolette that is almost impossible.

Ella feels guilty about using Tracy, but Johan convinces her that it isn’t wrong. Dewald meets Liv and is surprised when she doesn’t fall for his charm, and Uys realises how difficult it is for Nicolette to be out of the operating room.

Conrad presents an idea to Binneland’s board, but Johan has his reservations. Nicolette realises just how much she has missed being in the operating room, and Dewald feels that Henry doesn’t trust him.

Ella and Johan try to delay Conrad’s project, and Hannah feels jealous of Uys and Nicolette’s relationship. Nicolette’s fear of the operating room is diffused and she receives another job offer.

Conrad tries to ease some of Tracy’s pressure, but she isn’t happy about it. Nicolette is torn over the new job offer, and Johan becomes more determined to stop Conrad’s project before it gets underway.

At gets an unexpected visitor on the farm, Liv finds something interesting in Dewald’s locker, and Uys decides to talk to Nicolette about her job offer.

Tracy and Conrad visit At’s farm, where he tells Conrad that he feels uneasy about the project. Nicolette suggests that Uys go away with her. It seems that Dewald and Liv are getting along better, but she has other plans.

Nicolette makes a decision about her future. Dewald gets a taste of his own medicine, and Joe and Ella declare a tentative ceasefire. At warns Conrad that he is playing with fire.

Hannah is heartbroken when she learns about Nicolette’s plans, Dewald succeeds in sabotaging Liv, and At confronts Conrad about his friendship with Tracy.

Both Thalia and Liv are furious with Dewald and demand that he fix what he has broken, Johan visits At on the farm, and Binneland says goodbye (for now) to an aspiring young doctor.

At and Conrad are at loggerheads over Johan, Hannah wants to cheer up Uys, and Dewald finally apologizes.

Johan Matthys’ true identity is revealed to the board, and Ella pretends she didn’t know. Dewald and Liv call a truce - albeit a temporary one - and Thalia is stunned when she learns about Dewald’s admission of guilt.

Dewald makes a big decision about his mentor, and Thalia knows of someone who is romantically interested in Bonnie. Tracy doesn’t want to tell Tertius about Conrad.

Bonnie and a patient’s friendship grows and he tells her about a website where he shared his life story. Johan shares something with Tertius that leaves Tracy speechless.

Both Conrad and Johan try to persuade Binneland’s board members before a meeting, Bonnie sends a message on a chat site, and Henry makes a decision about Dewald’s future.

While everything seems to go wrong for Conrad, At places more trust in Johan. Henry has a change of heart, and Bonnie struggles to feel enthusiastic about a romantic date.

There seems to be no end to the big decisions Tracy is making, and Bonnie is unaware that the friend she's chatting to online is starting to develop feelings for her.

Uys starts to panic when he can’t get hold of Nicolette, Thalia opens the door to an unexpected visitor, and everyone tries to understand why Hannah is in a bad mood.

Louis and Naomi grow increasingly worried about Hannah’s behavior, and Hannah wishes she could speak to Nicolette, but no one can reach her.

Le Roux is admitted to Binneland and gets an unexpected diagnosis. Hannah finally reveals to Naomi what has been bothering her, and Bonnie tells “Surferdude” about her possible romantic date with a friend.

Kristin wants to get in touch with Le Roux’s biological mother, Naomi fears that Hannah might run away again, and Thalia warns Bonnie not to play with men’s feelings.

Luke struggles to come to terms with the fact that Bonnie is possibly dating someone. Tensions rise when Le Roux’s biological mother meets his adoptive mother face to face, and Hannah finally tells Naomi the truth.

Kristin finally realises the true severity of Le Roux’s condition, Bonnie reads Luke’s fortune, Jackie’s phone rings, and Joe gets the surprise of a lifetime.

Joe makes a potentially life-changing decision, while a phone call leaves Louis and Naomi in a difficult position. Meanwhile, although unintentional, Bonnie finds herself playing with a nice guy’s feelings.

It’s Annetjie’s big day, Naomi makes contact with Jackie, and Thalia is confronted with a strange request.

Bonnie is determined to meet “Surferdude” in person, Joe sets out to confirm whether he is related to someone, and Naomi is forced to come clean to Louis after taking matters into her own hands.

Naomi tries to placate Hannah’s fears, Thalia discovers the true identity of “Surferdude”, and Joe receives the results of his DNA test.

Joe accuses Anya, convinced that a certain Binneland patient is another man’s child. Jess receives big news, and Bonnie witnesses Luke’s vulnerable side.

“Surferdude” almost reveals his true identity, and Bonnie gets suspicious. Jackie wants to start over and has Naomi’s support, and Le Roux’s identity leads to shock and confusion.

Joe feels that too much pressure is being placed on Jess, while Bonnie feels betrayed. Louis is willing to give Jackie another chance - but only under certain conditions.

In his desperation, Joe takes a dangerous step, Naomi’s kindness ultimately softens Louis, and Bonnie is determined to cut a friend out of her life.

Joe searches for his mother, believing that desperate times call for dangerous measures. Louis tries to hide the presence of a new employee, and Bonnie is confused about her emotions.

Ella receives a second threatening email, Tracy begins to wonder whether she might be missing out on something, Brian defends Jackie, and Petro supports Joe.

Ella is haunted by someone who seems to know a great deal about her past. Louis must correct a major mistake he has made, and the challenges Tracy faces are not becoming any easier.

Tertius wants to save Tracy from financial ruin, Jackie struggles with the fact that she is no longer a part of Hannah’s life, and Frieda du Pont meets Henry Louw.

Tracy struggles to secure funding for Tonik’s upgrades, Bonnie feels increasingly unwell at work but Ella refuses to let her go home, and Frieda gives a doctor an ultimatum.

Ella is in turmoil over a threat, Jackie reappears, and Uys learns that more patients have developed wound infections at Binneland.

Frieda confronts a doctor at Binneland, and Henry witnesses the encounter. Tracy is excited to work alongside a possible new partner, while Petro feels neglected by Joe.

Petro is frustrated with her relationship with Joe, Louis helps Tracy with Tonik, and Ella, Johan, and Henry underestimate an infection problem that is on the verge of spiralling out of control.

Tracy officially gets a new business partner, while Thalia’s plans with Dewald go awry. The net around Ella tightens, and she is forced to make a few drastic decisions.

Ella desperately tries to convince Binneland’s management of her innocence, Tracy is annoyed with Louis and his suggestions to save money, and Thalia is confused about Dewald’s feelings towards her.

Ongevalle is shut down for a deep clean, Louis drops a bold new business proposal for Tonik, rattling Tracy, and Frieda arrives – ready to take full revenge.

Bonnie encourages Thalia to ask Dewald out, Frieda shows up at Henry’s rooms, and Tracy has a serious talk with Louis.

Just as Henry and Ella seem to be working on their issues, Joe receives shocking news. Louis starts conducting market research on Tonik, and Tracy is livid. Meanwhile, Petro gives Joe’s Refentse ticket to Dewald.

Petro kicks off with a leadership programme, and Joe feels lonely. Tertius and Leah reconnect, and Katryn returns to Pretoria – but she wants no one other than Dewald to know about it.

Johan is sceptical about the cause of a car accident. A secret Naomi is keeping on behalf of a friend prevents her from being honest. Petro grows increasingly concerned when Joe starts behaving out of character.

Johan believes Katryn’s life is in danger, Uys convinces Tertius to stay with Tracy while he is in Pretoria, and Joe is determined to find his biological mother.

Tertius devises a plan with Tracy, while Johan is once again reminded that he will do anything to protect his daughter. In his search for the truth, Joe reaches yet another dead end.

Annetjie offers to help Petro with a presentation, and Tracy is consumed by guilt over Tertius and Leah. Ella advises Johan to be honest with Katryn.

Katryn receives a visitor, At makes Tertius aware of everything he is giving up in South Africa, and Joe discovers potential new clues about his biological mother.

Tertius shocks Tracy with a very big question, and Uys confronts Joe for driving a wedge between him and Petro. Johan becomes concerned when Katryn starts sleeping excessively, and finally puts two and two together. Meanwhile, a dangerous trap is set, putting someone’s life in danger.

Petro is willing to give up a major opportunity, while Joe continues to push her away. An impossible decision threatens to destroy a marriage for good, and Katryn uncovers the truth about Amor.

Petro is frustrated with Joe, and Johan and Katryn both suspect the other of hiding something. Tertius is not willing to give up, and Tracy contacts Conrad.

Tracy makes a big decision regarding her future, Joe is once again on the hunt for answers about his past, and Dewald suspects that Katryn might be having a nervous breakdown.

Tracy informs her attorney and her friends about her decision, Joe considers hiring Botes to find his mother, and Ella sees a photo of Cecile.

The reality of Tracy’s decision finally sinks in, Ella offers Katryn a job at Ongevalle, and Joe and Botes clash.

Katryn accepts Ella’s job offer, and Rian corners him about Johan and Amor. Joe knows he has to let go of Petro, and two beloved Binnelanders say goodbye to their friends.

Joe finally gets a lead on his birth mother, but the truth leaves him more uncertain than ever. Meanwhile, Hannah’s teacher asks Louis to come in for a meeting.

Louis makes Thalia an official offer, Joe suspects that his birth mother has passed away, and Naomi invites a doctor to move in with them.

Concert fever is running high - both Louis and Hannah are very excited. Henry is on the warpath when someone tries to poach his personnel, and Naomi and Annetjie bury the hatchet.

Thalia is torn about her future, Naomi is anxious about the costume she has to make for Hannah, and Joe receives an unexpected visitor.

Naomi asks Annetjie for help and immediately regrets it. Joe learns more about his past, and Henry gives Dewald an ultimatum.

Joe makes a connection, Dewald helps Robbie to ask Thalia out, and Botes devises (another) ruthless plan.

Robbie sends Thalia flowers, but Henry intercepts it. Uys clicks why Hannah is stand-offish with Katryn, and Botes is caught in Louis and Naomi’s home.

Thalia’s friends are very excited on her behalf, Hannah is suddenly less enthusiastic about her school play, and Joe is not happy when someone threatens to go home.

Joe’s life is in danger, Robbie convinces Thalia that a certain doctor did them a favour, and Naomi tries to understand why Hannah is unhappy about the school play.

Uys starts growing suspicious when he catches someone snooping around in Joe’s room. Thalia encourages Petro to give someone a chance, while she herself has her head in the clouds.

Petro, Uys and Bonnie try to warn Joe, Hannah almost admits to Katryn why she’s lost her passion for the play, and a car accident convinces Bonnie to question a paramedic’s character.

Joe feels betrayed, and Petro is there to pick up the pieces. Katryn is torn and puts pressure on Hannah. Bonnie warns Thalia that she is playing with fire.

Joe gets more information about his past, Thalia is determined to stay loyal to a guy who doesn't have the approval of her friends, and Naomi is still in the dark about Hannah’s attitude.

Petro and Bonnie disagree on something, the truth about an accident is revealed, and Joe is not at all impressed with Botes’ latest plan.

Dewald tells Bonnie more about an incident, Henry gives Thalia an impossible assignment, and Yvonne receives an unexpected phone call.

Katryn wants to boost Hannah’s self-confidence. Thalia decides she can have the best of both worlds, and Joe is determined to confront his biological father.

Joe tries to make sense of someone's shocking death, Robbie begins to doubt his future, and Thalia is uncertain about her own dreams. Hannah surprises everyone with her self-confidence.

At’s positive attitude towards Henry is a thorn in Johan’s side, Max takes Joe under his wing as a father figure, and Steve Abrahams surprises At.

At defends Steve, Johan is frustrated, and Luke is ready to start working again. Meanwhile, Thalia remains uncertain and indecisive about her future.

Dewald witnesses a dangerous incident in the theatre and doesn't know what to make of it, while two colleagues helping out at Thusanang can't keep their hands off each other.

Bonnie thinks Luke is acting unfairly, and Katryn confronts Henry. Johan suspects Ella wasn't honest with him, and he is shocked when he hears about At's plans.

Ella shares more information about Steve with Johan, Bonnie’s heart breaks for a patient, and Katryn realizes what her father is up to and wants to warn Henry.

A patient is furious after having her leg amputated, Steve must prove his innocence, and Ella smells a rat. Henry struggles to get an appointment with a neurologist.

Steve is determined to expose a Binnelander. Uys has a serious conversation with Luke, and Henry goes for medical tests.

Steve is taken by surprise by a sudden turn of events in an investigation, Katryn tries to encourage Henry, and Uys gives Bonnie more advice about her relationship with Luke.
