Liam plunges down a deep gorge as he and Maria try to rescue Ozzy from a ledge; John tells Fiz he loves her as he makes a bid to win her back; and Ryan quizzes Michelle about what's going on.

Maria races to find help for Liam and finds her way back to the hotel; Fiz decides to end her relationship with John; and Michelle tells Ryan the police have caught the stalker.

Maria retraces her steps with the rescue team and there is hope when the paramedics find a faint pulse in Liam; and Sally gets into a fight with Janice.

Maria's world is in chaos as she keeps vigil by Liam's bed, haunted by the thought that he's been calling out for Carla instead of her; and the reality of Jack and Vera's planned move to Blackpool hits home.

Maria is plagued by the thought that Liam might be in love with Carla, so Michelle urges her to talk it over with him; Sally is worried about Kevin's sentencing; and Jack and Vera finally choose their dream Blackpool home.

A bewildered Ryan walks out on Michelle after she reveals his stalker's claims could be true; Liam manages to allay Maria's fears about his commitment to her; and Paul receives a generous offer.

Alex's mother walks into the Rovers and confides in Michelle, but the police are alerted when Ryan storms off again and fails to return home. Vera has a heart-to-heart with Jack about their move to Blackpool.

Vera Duckworth's final moments on the Street; a frantic Michelle searches for her missing son; and David introduces his new girlfriend to Audrey.

Michelle fears the worst when Ryan fails to show up; Gail observes a smitten David kissing Tina; and Maria is furious to learn that Liam is spending a night away with Carla.

Ryan gets into a scrap with Alex, before the police inform Michelle that her son has been involved in a road accident; and a devastated Jack avoids talking about Vera's funeral arrangements.

Audrey struggles to allay Maria's fears about Liam; Tony arrives unexpectedly at the hotel; Jack finds the strength to telephone Terry; and everyone in the Rovers learns about David's love life.

The atmosphere is tense when Terry arrives for Vera's funeral and, overcome with grief, Jack collapses as he prepares to deliver his speech; and David tells Tina about his court case.

An exhausted Jack makes a moving tribute to Vera. Back at the Rovers, Terry urges his father not to sell the house to Tyrone; and Michelle tries to suppress her maternal feelings for Alex.

Michelle goes to Alex's school and introduces herself as his mum; as Kevin tries to keep the peace back at the Websters', Rosie decides to return to the factory, and Jack brings Vera's ashes home.

A guilty Michelle arranges a meeting with Alex, who reveals he has never really been happy with Nick and Wendy; and Jason is stunned when his hopes of a reconciliation with Sarah are dashed.

Steve is furious to discover that Michelle went back on her word to Ryan; a carefree Jason invites Becky back to his place after sharing a few drinks; David and Tina cause a rumpus in the pub; and Rosie's arrangements with Kevin ruffles a few feathers.

Jason regrets his night with Becky, but Audrey tells Gail about his new conquest; Michelle tells Ryan about her meeting with Alex; and Sean discovers Violet has opted for a home birth.

Becky is devastated to learn Jason has left for Italy, as Eileen battles with Gail over her threat to spill the beans to Sarah; and Liam's parents take a shine to Maria, leaving Carla struggling to contain her jealousy.

Carla makes a startling discovery on Maria's hen night when her jibes leave the bride-to-be in tears and Michelle tries to keep the peace; and as Becky nurses her broken heart, a dejected Jason returns home with a split lip and the news that his marriage is over.

Still brooding over what Michelle told her, Carla pays Liam a visit to talk things over; and a sheepish Jason heads to the cafe to face Becky.

A furious Liam denies he has feelings for Carla and tells her to back off - but when Maria returns home, she sees Carla give Liam a kiss; Alex abandons Michelle in the coffee shop; and Fiz resolves to take care of Chesney in her own home.

Carla finishes with Tony on Liam's wedding day; and a tearful Maria breaks down and had doubts about whether she's doing the right thing.

The wedding guests speculate about the reason for the delay as they are left waiting inside the hotel, while outside Maria struggles to come to a decision about going ahead with the ceremony.

Michelle is in turmoil over how to deal with Alex, who walks into the Rovers to patch things up with her; Roy decides to visit Hayley in Africa; and Vernon tells a dubious Steve about his plans for the pub.

A dejected Alex goes missing after seeing how close Michelle is to Ryan; and Jack seeks refuge from Rita and Emily in the betting shop and learns he's won £3,000 on the horses he backed on the day Vera died.

Ryan is furious when Michelle offers Alex a roof over his head after he's caught shoplifting; and Jack's place is turned upside-down in a bid to find the winning betting slip.

As Carla struggles to hide her anguish, Tony turns up and secretly takes her flat keys from her handbag; and Alex's presence at the Rovers continues to divide Michelle and her family.

A nervous Carla arms herself before confronting the intruder; Paul discovers Jack's winning betting slip but keeps quiet; and Violet and Jamie consider leaving Weatherfield.

Paul collects the winnings from Jack's bet and pays Dan £1,000 to stay quiet; Jamie and Violet decide to keep their move a secret from Sean and, when the newlyweds return from their honeymoon, Carla refrains from telling Liam she's back with Tony; and Gail is furious with David for not talking to her about Tina moving in.

As Jamie makes preparations for the secret move, Violet goes into labour; and Liam is bewildered when Carla asks Tony to move in with her.

An elated Sean is at Violet's side as she gives birth to a healthy baby boy in the Rovers; Michelle tells Alex it's time he went home; and Paul finds himself playing by Dan's rules.

An elated Sean drives Jamie and Violet to their wits' end as they try to care for the baby; and Michelle lets Alex stay longer - with disastrous consequences.

Lauren uncovers Jamie and Violet's plans to move away and tells Sean; and David's jealousy over Tina's friendship with her ex, puts a damper on the lovebirds' romance.

A disillusioned Ryan decides he wants to move out; Jamie gets a job in London; and David is consumed by jealousy.

Violet takes advantage of the leap year and pops the question to Jamie; and David hopes to prove his love for Tina by getting her name tattooed on his arm.

Following a tip-off from Lauren, an incredulous Sean races to stop Violet and Jamie leaving with baby Dylan; and Tina shows her disgust for David's declaration of love.

Gail warns Tina about messing with David, but the girl delivers some news; Michelle is reluctant to let Alex leave the Rovers; and Sean realises he may never see his son again.

Gail urges Tina not to make a rash decision, and suggests she should not tell David her news just yet; and there's friction at the Rovers when Wendy comes to collect Alex.

Tina is concerned at having to wait for an appointment at the clinic, but Gail makes her a tempting offer and says David need never know; and Jack grows suspicious of Paul.

Ryan opens up to Liam, prompting him to convince Michelle to reconsider her position with Alex; Dan finds an unusual way to make his point to Paul; and Tina is shocked to learn more about David's past.

Michelle is forced to tell a devastated Alex that he must go home with Wendy, leaving Ryan happy to hear that he has finally left the Rovers; Kirk spends his time setting mousetraps; Claire becomes worried about Chesney's well-being; and Jack offers to help out when Paul admits he is in debt.

A social worker discovers Chesney living in squalor; and David catches Gail and Tina talking in the kitchen.

Claire comes clean to Ashley about her actions as Maria comforts a devastated Kirk; Tina struggles to cope with her guilty conscience; and Ryan considers getting to know Nick.

An anxious Tina waits in the clinic for her abortion, racked with guilt about keeping David in the dark; Tony makes Liam an offer; and Norris is blamed for informing on Kirk.

Gail is forced to tell David about Tina's abortion, and in a fit of rage he pushes his mother down the stairs. Nick arrives in the pub to see Ryan, and Kirk visits Chesney.

As Gail lies motionless at the bottom of the stairs, a terrified David runs out of the back door and makes his way to Tina's. Tony quizzes Carla about her relationship with Liam.

As Gail lies unconscious in intensive care, the doctors tell a panic-stricken David his mother is badly injured but should come round soon. Meanwhile, the police suspect foul play.

The police quiz Jason about Gail's fall and reveal he is their only suspect; and Carla is caught off-guard when Tony makes an unexpected gesture.

Audrey quizzes Jason about his argument with Gail in a bid to find out what really happened. Carla laps up all the attention and Michelle frets about Ryan's trip with Nick.

David fobs Audrey off when she confronts him about Gail's fall, then turns to a stunned Tina to back him up. Fiz returns from her holiday and Michelle says goodbye to Ryan.

The police quiz David about his past and take Tina in for questioning. Paul looks on enviously as Leanne and Dan make a date and Fiz visits Chesney at the foster home.

Leanne considers taking drastic measures to resolve her problems with the restaurant. Tina and David struggle with the burden of their deceit and Fiz meets Chesney's social worker.

Dan is incredulous when Leanne reveals her plans and says she'll get Paul to do her dirty work. Fiz moves into No 5 and the hospital visit leaves David and Tina feeling uneasy.

Fiz despairs of Kirk and tells Maria he will have to move out. David assures Gail he will look after her when she's discharged and Roy feels the strain of having Becky as a lodger.

Gail returns home from hospital and Tina feels the pressure when a suspicious Audrey quizzes her about her alibi. Fiz and Maria struggle to resolve the dilemma over Kirk.

David panics when he comes across Tina and Audrey in the middle of a row.

A nervous Paul sets fire to Valandro's, spurred on by the thought of spending the future with Leanne. Meanwhile, David and Tina are terrified when Gail experiences a flashback.

Leanne feigns distress at the sight of the burnt-out restaurant, but finds Paul getting a little too close for comfort. David waits anxiously as DC Weller talks to Gail alone.

The truth dawns on Paul when he turns up at Leanne's to find Dan making himself at home there, and a guilty Tina struggles to hide her anguish as Gail has more flashbacks.

Tina finally cracks, as she packs her bags and flees in terror her actions jog Gail's memory. Leanne is stunned to discover the depth of Paul's feelings for her.

A scared and angry David storms off to meet Tina, but her decision to end their relationship pushes him to the verge of a breakdown. Steve tries to reconcile Alex with Michelle.

David threatens to turn himself in after admitting to a horrified Gail he pushed her and left her for dead, while Paul feels the strain as the impact of the arson attack sinks in.

The residents are agog as David, hell-bent on destruction and determined to get sent down, causes chaos. Leanne tries to persuade Dan to give her a job in the bookies.

After spending the night in a prison cell, David comes clean about his past misdeeds, but Gail refuses to testify against him. Becky takes one of the builders back to Roy's place.

Gail intervenes during the court proceedings as David calmly accepts his fate and insists he is guilty on all counts. Roy reaches a compromise with Becky over her promiscuity.

A terrified Jason gets rid of the bats for Tony before the council arrive. The magistrate adjourns David's case for sentencing and Becky finds herself back in Roy's bad books.

A furious Roy demands some answers from Tony when the environmental inspector fails to find any bats. Meanwhile, Lauren provokes a sobered-up Darryl into quitting his job for good

Roy resolves to teach Tony a lesson when Jason comes clean about smoking out the bats, while a remorseful David posts a letter to Tina and shows signs of turning over a new leaf.

Tina pays David a surprise visit, raising his hopes of a reconciliation before his court appearance. Roy and Becky wait for trouble to brew as the builders arrive with their vans.

Celebrations for Gail's 50th birthday fall by the wayside as David faces the magistrates for sentencing. Ryan tells his grandparents about Alex, and Tony manages to appease Roy

Gail returns home to drown her sorrows as the reality of what's happened sinks in. David tries to contact Tina after he's led from the courtroom and Jason has bad news for Becky.

David struggles to adjust to life behind bars, but finds solace when a worried Gail pays him a visit. Roy keeps a tight rein on Tony, and Becky shows her gratitude to Jason.

David puts on a brave face for Gail's sake, but breaks down in tears when she leaves. An old flame tries to get in touch with Audrey, and Paul is fuming to hear of Leanne's plans.

Leanne offers Paul his insurance money but, still bitter about being duped, he gives her an ultimatum. Becky and Jason arrange another date and an upbeat Kirk returns from Cyprus

Leanne tries to reason with Paul about his threat, but Dan decides to call his bluff. A remorseful David receives a visit from Audrey, and Kirk introduces his girlfriend to Fiz.

Leanne and Dan realise they're up to their necks in trouble as Paul heads off to the police station. Liam spends the night on Carla's sofa and Audrey finally arranges to meet Ted.

A hung-over Liam makes his way home to Maria, but her fury turns to anguish when she receives devastating news at the hospital. Meanwhile, the police question Dan and Leanne.

Maria struggles to tell Liam the news as she tries to come to terms with what's happened. Roy is flummoxed by Becky's change of heart over Jason, and a nervous Audrey meets Ted.

Liam leaves for work as a distraught Maria packs her bag for the hospital, unable to find a way of telling him about the baby. Meanwhile, Jack learns Paul has been charged.

Maria continues to keep Liam in the dark as she heads back to the Street. Bill lets slip to a perplexed Gail about Audrey meeting Ted, and Liz refuses to go on Vernon's cruise.

Claire discovers the extent of the family's financial difficulties when Ashley admits to using their own money to prop up the business. Audrey makes a disturbing discovery.

Audrey's shocking discovery prompts Maria to confess her distressing secret, Marcus is suspicious when Sean returns early from holiday and Chesney is upset by Les's news.

Liam struggles to come to terms with the news, as a desperate Maria seeks consolation from him. Claire has a novel idea to save money, and David is delighted by Tina's visit.

Maria and Liam finally discuss the funeral, but her worst fears seem to be realised when she sees him heading straight into Carla's arms. Gail resolves to contact Ted.

Maria is determined not to make things worse between herself and Liam and still refuses to attend the funeral. Claire and Sally get Ashley and Kevin to agree to the house swap.

Maria and Liam have an emotional reconciliation at their baby's funeral, leaving Carla out in the cold; Claire and Sally receive the valuations on their houses; and Ted contacts Gail.

Liam makes a shocking confession to Maria as the grieving couple try to deal with their loss; and Gail receives a visit from Tina and is left reeling by a revelation from Ted.

Fearing her marriage is over, Maria decides to move out, while Carla takes in a rain-soaked Liam; Gail confides in Tina about her father's news; and Leanne lands a job at the Rovers.

Chesney becomes caught up in Fiz and Julie's feuding; Liam feels guilty after his night with Carla; Gail has an argument with Tina's mother; and Leanne faces a difficult first shift at the Rovers Return.

Rosie takes a photo of Carla and Liam kissing; Maria has second thoughts about her separation; Ted offers to take Gail to see David; and Fiz denies she is jealous of Kirk and Julie's relationship.

Carla lashes out at Liam after he agrees to a reconciliation with Maria; Harry asks Liz out on a date; David is surprised by a visit from Gail and Ted; and Julie arranges a romantic evening.

Harry receives a visit from his ex-wife; Michelle returns and is annoyed to find Leanne working at the Rovers; and Claire has second thoughts about selling the house to Sally.

Liz goes on a secret date with Harry, but panics when he tries to kiss her; Sally demands Claire lowers the asking price of her house; and Paul receives some bad news from his solicitor.

Dan lets slip to Steve about Liz's date; building work gets under way at Tyrone and Molly's home; and Claire turns the tables on Sally.

Determined to prove her innocence, Liz decides to cool things off with Harry; Sally and Claire both stand their ground; and Paul contemplates a future away from the Street.

Jack discovers Paul's plans to flee Weatherfield and tries to convince him to stay; still seething about the criticism of her house, Sally lets rip in a confrontation with Claire; Leanne and Dan make the most of the show flat's facilities; and Liz decides to make a public display of affection for Vernon.

The residents are terrorised by a gang of yobs who run riot in the Street, first targeting Roy then besieging Norris in the Kabin; and Sally is annoyed when she sees Claire showing prospective buyers round her house.

Norris puts on a brave face in the aftermath of the break-in, and Claire feels the repercussions when news of the rampage prompts the interested couple to pull out of the house deal; and Tina's spirits are lifted by a visit from her dad Joe.

Jerry suffers a heart attack after chasing Kenzie's gang away from Roy's Rolls; Chesney chooses the wrong time to ask Kayleigh out; Deirdre is stunned by Roger's bill for the new bathroom; and Tina tells David about her career plans.

Jerry's ex-wife turns up to help the Morton family; Chesney gets a pep-talk from Kirk; and Sean overhears Becky enthusing about her night of passion.

Jerry is less than impressed to have Teresa at his bedside; Steve and Dan play dirty as they try to outdo each other; and Chesney lands the lead role in the school play.

Teresa leads Lloyd in believing Finlay is his son; and Jason is concerned that things have become too serious with Becky.

Steve worries Teresa might only be after Lloyd's money; Vernon is suspicious of Liz's warm welcome; and the rivalry between Steve and Dan intensifies over a game of darts.

Steve finds himself in trouble with the police after discovering Dan unconscious in the Rovers' cellar; Becky realises Jason has been lying to her; Jerry returns home to find Teresa has moved in; and Tina gets a job at the kebab shop.

After the police quiz him about Dan's accident, Steve feels rejected by Michelle and seeks comfort from Becky; and Gail considers visiting Sarah while Ted looks after David.

Following his night with Becky, Steve attempts to cover his tracks and receives a telling off from Michelle for not coming home; and Carla struggles with her emotions when she learns Liam and Maria are due back.

Steve asks Harry for help in easing the feud with Dan; Becky tells Jason that their relationship is over; and Liam's cousin Tom helps Carla with her computer problems - causing Tony to become jealous.

Harry gets roped into tackling Dan about the charges against Steve, who grows increasingly harassed when Becky turns up at the pub; and Carla gives Liam an ultimatum on his return home.

Steve learns Dan has decided to change his statement; Carla goes on the warpath when Liam refuses to bow to her demands; Deirdre tries to persuade Ken to attend a university reunion; and Mel confronts Teresa about stealing from the till.

Carla threatens to reveal all to Maria when Liam refuses to accept Tony's offer; after seeing Audrey's dismal job reference, Ted steps in to help David; and the Websters and Peacocks prepare to exchange houses.

The Peacocks find themselves living with the Websters in their old house when the fuse box blows at No 13; an irate Maria confronts Liam about the sale of the factory; and Audrey is stunned to learn David has been offered a job.

Tony fails to impress Carla as he steps into Liam's shoes at the factory; a suspicious Michelle decides to tackle Lloyd about Steve's infidelity; and Claire makes a find at No 13.

Lloyd arranges to meet Michelle to reveal what Steve's been up to; David's job is on the line when Ted's reference comes under scrutiny; and Tony tells a dubious Carla of his business plans.

A raucous party at the Platts' leads to mayhem; Michelle begins to suspect Steve has been sleeping with Leanne; and Claire and Ashley's hopes of a windfall are dashed.

David and Tina survey the wreckage of the house in the aftermath of the party; a pent-up Michelle loses her temper with Leanne; and Jason is surprised to receive a birthday card from Becky.

A shamefaced Michelle gets a dressing-down from Dan in front of a packed pub; Lloyd resorts to desperate measures to clear Steve's name; Ted struggles to put the Platts' house in order before Audrey arrives for an inspection; and as Jerry gets closer to Teresa, Mel is left out in the cold.

Liz confides in Deirdre that she is struggling to muster up the same enthusiasm as Vernon for the new bar; following Leanne's sudden dismissal, Michelle offers Becky a job in the pub; and Tony puts his business plans in motion.

Still reeling from Liz's decision not to run the bar, Vernon receives a further blow when his tearful wife makes a confession; Becky accepts the job at the pub; and Claire's windfall causes friction at the Webster household.

Tony's offer prompts Rita to examine her retirement options; the Peacocks decide to pack their bags when they realise they've outstayed their welcome at the Websters'; Liz feels guilty about letting her husband down; and Jason has a heart to heart chat with Becky.

Lloyd provides Vernon with a roof over his head when he sees him moving out of the Rovers; as tempers flare in the cafe, Becky and Roy tell each other a few home truths; and Tony finds it difficult to persuade Kevin to sell up.

Jason offers Becky a bed at his place after her war of words with Roy leaves her homeless; Vernon drowns his sorrows with Lloyd; Tony and Carla weigh up how to handle Kevin; and a reluctant Ken gets a pep talk from Roger about attending the university reunion.

Kevin loses his cool when he discovers Tony has organised a surveyor to value the garage; with Sean revelling in his role as breadwinner, Marcus investigates college courses; and Liam breaks off from his life of leisure to discuss business with cousin Tom.

Fired up by Kevin's refusal to do a deal, Tony draws an unsuspecting Rosie into his latest scheme; and Sean gets a rude awakening when he returns to work after a boozy lunch break.
