Abby and Vi involve Vi's bird Jerome in their feud. Abby takes him from Vi's room and puts him on the balcony, Vi finds him there and takes him out of the cage - leading Abby to believe that he is gone. Sonny confides in Alice about his learning difficulties - he also gets closer to Harley. Everyone fusses around Ernie as he goes into hospital for his hernia operation.
